Whilst Forgiving Others, You Are Also Forgiving Yourself

Amongst all creatures under the sun only man learned the word 'forgive'. You're just like other creatures if you have been living life being the one who is always forgiven by others or one who doesn't know how to forgive others.

Try to treat others as you would want them to treat you. Try to picture how others feel and try to perceive things from their perspective and most importantly don't expect things that you can't even do from others. Remember when you're pointing one finger at others, three fingers are pointing back to you. Besides, who are we to judge others' wrongdoings? It is not as if we have been living as noble as God without making any mistakes in life. Have you ever wondered why we can shamelessly scold or blame others on their wrongdoings regardless of what we have done? This is because we are not even aware that we're actually showing our superiority on others! Therefore, you did yourself a greater favour by forgiving others than being forgiven!

The bible says from Matthew 6:14-15, "for if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Mark 11:25 further explains as if says, "and when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your sins."

Jesus said that he would revive one who has an earnest forgiving heart, because you're forgiving yourself when you're forgiving others.

Anger - indirectly punishes yourself for others' wrongdoings, hence one who knows how to forgive i definitely a happier person.

Moreover, if you have never lost anything from being cheated, how would you learn to value the things you currently have and how would you realize how important it is to manage your finance wisely? Therefore, forgive your enemies and those who persecute you and be grateful to them in return because they make us realize our shortcomings, reminded us the pain when we were harmed and matured us up to be stronger in the process.

American civil war General David Allen Russell said, "Don't waste even a single minute to hate our enemies." Exactly! Vengeance and anger would only bring more misery to your life because it is like plunging a fist into the wall as the pain would be the amount of strength that you have exerted. If the enemy is a trash to you, why hold on to the grudge? By the time when you haven't even succeeded in revenging, you would have already stunk as bad as the person.

Forgiving is a great deed and it is also a virtue. Hence let go all the vengeance and anger in you.

Let me share a small tip on how I try to make myself a forgiving person. I try to live in the moment by living as if today is my last day and I'll try to make the most out of every day by being happy. Hence I don't have the spare time to be concerned about unhappy happenings every day.

In reality, death is not very far apart from us, it would just turn up and knock on our doors one day without any prior notice, the sole difference is in what form are they going to appear in front of us.

A true wise man lives their life once every day, because to them every day is their entire life!

I truly hope that you can let go everything. Let us start by forgiving the ones who have hurt us, because only by doing so we are qualified to plea for forgiveness from the ones that we have hurt.
